It’s the last day of February and time for me to tell you about some things I loved this month. If you like this post, please push the little heart at the end. ❤️
Chappell Roan’s Grammy performance was incredible, but my favorite of the night was Doechii. Amazing. Did you know she documented her Artist’s Way practice on Youtube?
If you didn’t catch Jane Fonda’s SAG Lifetime Achievement Award acceptance speech, please check it out. She doesn’t just give speeches, she does the work - and has been doing the work for 60 years.
I enjoyed this episode of New Thinking Allowed with Darryl Anka. I agree that everyone is a channel. I also acknowledge that you might be thinking to yourself that all so-called channeling is fraudulent, and listen, you might be correct, but you might find this an interesting conversation anyway.
Wildcat is one of my favorite movies I’ve watched in a long time. It inspired me to pull the Flannery O’Conner off the shelf and commune with her.
You are Good is one of my favorite podcasts. This episode about Mulholland Drive, which is also a discussion about the impact and importance of David Lynch, meditation, spirituality, and the unified field made me cry. I listened to the extended cut.

On Valentine’s Day, Tracy and I had lunch at Belle Notte then picked up a cake from Caramanda’s. He made dinner that night and we watched Crossing Delancey, which I’d previously only seen in bits and pieces. I enjoyed it.
The next day was my birthday. I wore pink velvet and we went to the Valentine pop-up at Street Scene where we got an excellent tarot reading from Casually Ascending. I also found a set of vintage dishes with a heart pattern and I snapped them up! From there we went on to have tea with my parents, and that night, I went to a sound bath at Lexington Sound Healing Center. It was luscious.

I went with a friend to a meeting of the Kentucky Women’s Network. This organization is fierce and focused. Willie Carver (who is brilliant) spoke about how we can support LGBTQ+ youth. By the end of the gathering, I felt energized and equipped to take action. I highly recommend finding an advocacy group in your area and getting together with real people to talk about real ideas and gather resources.

As we are each called to be our most courageous selves, we must not allow our hearts to become hardened and bitter.
We can be brave and kind.
We can speak the truth of resistance and love. (They are one and the same.)
We can face the harsh reality we’re living and continue to create in joy and wonder because we are human and that’s what humans do.
Please take care of yourself.
